Learn about Puerto Rico 's fascinating history combined with a focus on the development of its unique sugar cane industry.

From the pier, head for the famous Bacardi Rum Distillery, the largest rum distillery in the world, where a guided tour takes you through the distilling process from vat to barrel, barrel to bottle, and bottle to belly. You'll observe the giant fermenting tanks at work as they turn sugarcane into molasses and finally into rum. After enjoying a complimentary sample, wander the distillery's lovely grounds, unique museum of the Bacardi family history, and shops offering their famous wares.

A pleasant drive will then take you through the old and new sections of town before arriving at Fort San Cristobal , looming high above the Atlantic. Following a brief visit of the fort, traverse the narrow streets of the historical treasure of Old San Juan.

Your last stop is Fortaleza Street where you will be afforded some free time to walk through the heart of Old San Juan to experience its old buildings, cobblestone streets, and wonderful shops. From there you may opt to be driven directly, or enjoy the short 4-block walk back to the ship.
